The Walls are coming down!

For those of you who have had the pleasure of enjoying our extremely outdated/ugly bathroom... I hope you've tucked those sweet memories away somewhere safe. We are FINALLY redoing the bathroom and we are sooooooooooo excited. I can't wait to finally paint over the mural- yes mural. This is one of the last big eye sores in our little "fixer upper", so I can't wait to see it done!
Here are the before. Hopefully I'll have the After Shots by Thanksgiving! :)

This SO does not do the mural justice. It's soooo cheeseball circa 1982.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This year we were so on top of things. We carved pumpkins early and I was so proud of them on our porch. Our little nephew Oliver came over too- it was so much fun to watch him! He would not put his hand in any of the pumpkins, and seemed pretty grossed out by all the pumpkin "goo". BUT he did love carving a face into his pumpkin (with a little help from auntie k)

Ollie and his pumpkin. Oh yeah, he's soaking wet because all he wanted to do was ride the moped with Uncle Nick, despite it pouring rain! I laughed so hard when they walked in- hair dripping! And he's definitely all smiles. hehe

This is probably as close to the goo as he got.

The finished pumpkins:
Diane, Oliver, Nick and Kristen
This totally cracked me up! We made hot cocoa, and Nick had Oliver open his mouth and squirted the whip cream in there. Oliver completely froze up! He would not swallow, not move. He looked so scared that he had a mouth full of whipped cream! In between all of us laughing, Nick finally got him to close his mouth and eat it.

I think his pumpkin kind of resembles him. :)

Unfortunately, when you carve your pumpkins the first week of October, this is what they look like the last week of October. bummer. Oh well, we'll know for next year.

We miss them already...

Myca and Jared came to visit us this last weekend (sans kiddos), and I'm already going through withdrawals. It was so fun to finally have them over to our home in Bothell, and it was such a relaxing/stress-free weekend. Jared and Nick get along so well (seriously, it's kind of scary how much they get each other going) which leaves lots of time for Myca and I to just gab and catch up without worrying whether or not the boys are entertained. Of course, I'm kicking myself now for not taking any pictures of the four of us, but I did do a quick "engagement session" for Myca and Jared so they could have some updated pics of the two of them. (I'll post some of these soon). I missed seeing the boys, but it's a perfect excuse to fly out to Boise soon! :)
Miss you guys!!

I stole this picture from Myca:

And the bump update:
*Due April 11
*I'm 14 weeks (26+ weeks to go- sounds like FOREVER)
*Weeks 7-11 were MISERABLE. Could have slept 16 hours a day, ALWAYS needed a nap, nausea all day long.
*Still getting morning sickness (although now just getting sick 3 or 4 times a week instead of 6 or 7) Starting to feel my energy come back.
*Definitely already have a gut- the kind where people think, "did she gain weight or is she pregnant?" (not the cute round baby bump)
*Lost a few pounds at my 12 week appt, despite feeling like my gut had doubled in size and eating like a little piggy.
*We're going to find out the sex at 18 weeks (yay, only 4 more for that)
*I had a dream that it was an Indian girl (even had the felt dot), Nick had a dream it was a puppy, Grandma thinks it's a boy, Mom thinks it's a girl. I just want healthy!!!
*Otherwise looking good- Ultrasounds have looked great, heartbeat good, measuring long (with how tall Nick and I are, could have guessed that one), looks human (didn't see a tail).
*Weird cravings: I ate beef tacos this weekend- I don't eat beef, and probably haven't had a beef taco in maybe 8 years??! I also ate meatballs the week before. Still not planning on eating steak anytime soon though.

Think that's it for now... I'll try to update so I can look back at how much *fun* this part was. :)

Update!

I realize it's been 2 1/5 months since I've blogged. Pathetic, I know. I am going to do better!! So much has been going on, and it has been so busy with wedding season and all the summer portrait work.... Nick and I have just been swamped. I AM going to get caught up with this blog though because I want to be able to look back and read about what we were doing. So, I'll start with two little announcements.

#1 I am finally part time at the hospital!!! It's official, I cut back to just two nights/week so I can focus more on the business. I feel so blessed with where it has taken me and how it has grown, but I have definitely felt like I was stretched too thin trying to work full time as a nurse and a photographer. I am so excited and so grateful for this change!!!!

#2 Just wanted to share an updated family pic. :) Enjoy!
