This year we were so on top of things. We carved pumpkins early and I was so proud of them on our porch. Our little nephew Oliver came over too- it was so much fun to watch him! He would not put his hand in any of the pumpkins, and seemed pretty grossed out by all the pumpkin "goo". BUT he did love carving a face into his pumpkin (with a little help from auntie k)
Ollie and his pumpkin. Oh yeah, he's soaking wet because all he wanted to do was ride the moped with Uncle Nick, despite it pouring rain! I laughed so hard when they walked in- hair dripping! And he's definitely all smiles. hehe

The finished pumpkins:Diane, Oliver, Nick and Kristen

This totally cracked me up! We made hot cocoa, and Nick had Oliver open his mouth and squirted the whip cream in there. Oliver completely froze up! He would not swallow, not move. He looked so scared that he had a mouth full of whipped cream! In between all of us laughing, Nick finally got him to close his mouth and eat it.

Unfortunately, when you carve your pumpkins the first week of October, this is what they look like the last week of October. bummer. Oh well, we'll know for next year.
